What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Coordinator position at Sprouts Farmers Market?
Overview
The Inventory Coordinator I is responsible for auditing the condition and accuracy of outbound loads as well as performing inventory related tasks such as counting locations, looking for missing pallets, verifying rotation, and assisting the Inventory Coordinator II as required. This position will require the employee to have a flexible schedule with the ability to move down to day shift working with, and or covering, for the Inventory Coordinator II position when needed.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Needs to be forklift certified and re-certified every 3 years
- Document and enter all outbound audit forms.
- Breaking down pallets to audit for case pick accuracy
- Performing counts on product causing exceptions during the outbound process.
- Checking for proper rotation (FIFO) on all items in storage.
- Verifying that all items are being stored in the proper temperature zone.
- Performing cycle counts on product to match up the system
- Record all damaged product and or poor-quality product that are removed from the system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities & Physical Requirements)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years’ experience in logistics, inventory control, and supply management.
- Knowledge of various fruits and vegetables is desirable.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Dependable and organized.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
- Knowledge of WMS and /or ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment and comply with strict time frames and deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- This position will work in a distribution center. Typically this environment is subject to:
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes, moisture, noise, odors, and moving equipment.
- Running forklifts or pallet jacks on occasion
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 75 lbs.
