Sr. Financial Analyst, IT

This position supports multiple functional business areas. In this role, you will provide analysis to the business functions you support to help guide strategic decisions and drive financial performance. You will partner with your teams to create meaningful plans and monthly forecasts that accurately reflect the state of the business and provide for a meaningful financial benchmark. You may provide ad hoc decision-making support for strategic initiatives and special projects. This position requires a high level of detail and ability to understand and identify anomalies across the entire company. This also requires a team member that is self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious with a thorough understanding of financial procedures and analysis.

Forecasting, Planning and Budgeting

• Assists in the development of long-range financial planning and annual budgets for Sprouts
• Builds financial models to support accurate planning and influence decision making
• Supports P&L forecast processes and summarizes forecast highlights, business drivers, risk and opportunities for business partners.

Analysis

• Analyze and articulate the key business drivers impacting your functional business areas; and provide analyses and recommendations to help drive toward company revenue and profit goals

Reporting

• Weekly & Monthly reporting on key business metrics for department leadership
• Partner with the business to understand variances to forecast/budget, understand and relay ongoing implications

Other

• Support the planning / rollout of key Strategic Initiative within the area you support
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Experience with budgeting, planning, modeling, and forecasting systems
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data and statements
• Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Reconciliation and Account Analysis
• Grocery or Retail experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
