What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Executive position at Square Deal?
As our Sales Executive, you’ll own the full commercial cycle—from prospecting through closing—selling truckload solutions (dry-van, refrigerated and flatbed) to mid-market and enterprise shippers. You’ll have the autonomy to hunt, the operational back-up to deliver, and a comp plan built for high performers.

What You’ll Do
- Prospect & acquire: Open doors across diverse industries (current wins: food & beverage, metal-mechanic) and revive dormant contacts from your book of business.
- Consult & close: Diagnose logistics pain points, craft tailored proposals, negotiate pricing/terms, and secure signed agreements.
- Run your book: Track your own shipments end-to-end, working with our operations team to guarantee flawless execution.
- Grow accounts: Nurture long-term relationships, upsell value-added services, and consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Market intelligence: Monitor rate trends, competitor activity and supply-chain shifts—and translate insights into winning strategies.
Experience & Education
- 5 years in freight brokerage or asset-based 3PL sales.
- Proven record of outperforming a new-business quota.
- Existing portfolio of active or highly-qualified shippers (strongly preferred).
- Degree welcomed but not required—your results speak louder.
Hard Skills
- Deep knowledge of U.S. truckload modes: dry-van, reefer, flatbed.
- Power-user of CRM & sales-tracking tools.
- Solid grasp of spot & contract pricing dynamics.
