Corporate Accounting Internship

Internship Overview:

* 10-week program: June 2024 Start

* Full-time 40hrs/week; M-F schedule

* Competitive Hourly Pay

* Based at Corporate Headquarters in McKinney, TX

* Opportunity to return subsequent summers or PT during school year

The accounting corporate intern will play an integral role in the current and future success of the organization. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the department through engaging and interesting work assignments across a broad array of accounting functions. Internships are an entrance point into a post-graduate, full time opportunity within SRS Distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assisting with month end close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations

* Involvement with accounting for mergers and acquisitions

* Ad hoc project assignments

Internship Requirements:

* Will obtain a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree by August 2025.

* Interest in obtaining CPA and working in corporate accounting

* 3.2 or above GPA required

* Notable work experiences and ethics with exceptional references

* Proven team involvement and leadership skills in school and work settings

* Personable, teachable, and easy to work with others.

* Solid, communication, organization, time management and excel skills

* Candidates who have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, reliable transportation, are authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in the US and will pass criminal and driving background check with a pre-employment drug test will be considered.
