Position Title: Retail Associate
Reports to: Retail Supervisor(s), Assistant Retail Operations Manager, and Retail Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Fulfill guests’ needs quickly and efficiently.
- Inform retail leadership in a timely manner when item quantities are low or when special requests arise. Work with the warehouse team to pull and fill items as necessary.
- Relay relevant customer feedback directly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Uphold company policies and procedures.
- Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
- Check and stock supplies in the counter area, floor displays, floor stands, and cabinets neatly and accurately.
- Clean tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.
- Keep counters and floors in service areas clean and free of debris.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer as assigned.
- Merchandise products to maximize sales.
- Increase sales through promotional items and suggestive selling.
- Support the unit by being an example for Company & Client guidelines regarding sustainability/conservation efforts. Demonstrate knowledge of these efforts and provide opportunities for staff education as necessary.
- Drive community engagement through hiring efforts, activities, and opportunities for giving back.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment while demonstrating independence and flexibility in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including POS systems and Excel.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes (10-35 lbs) as necessary for operations, including lifting.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Night availability is required during our lantern event this spring.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the brand team, fostering networking across all units.
- Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members at all levels.
- Lead by example through sustainability/conservation efforts; display knowledge of efforts in business applications and provide staff education opportunities as needed.
- Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community efforts, focusing on activities that give back to the community.
- None required.

- Hourly, Non-Exempt. Pay is based on a range in consideration of relevant job experience and certifications/education.
