Requisition Number: R-14948 Facility: LOC0001 - 55 Fogg Road55 Fogg Road Weymouth, MA 02190 Department Name: SSH Vascular Laboratory Status: Full time Budgeted Hours: 40 Shift: Varied Shifts (United States of America) Under the guidance of the Supervisor of Vascular Laboratory assists in the coordination of all activities performed in the Laboratory, including performing vascular imaging studies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1 - Coordinates and assists in all activities performed in the Vascular Laboratory. a - Runs Vascular Lab completely in absence of supervisor. b - Works with supervisor on a daily basis to coordinate lab activities. c - Assigned task as well as performing clinical examinations. 2 - Maintains reports, records, and collects statistics. a - All preliminary reports are sent via PACS to the reading radiologist or vascular surgeon in a timely manner. 3 - Assures delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies demonstrating competency in all studies while following guidelines/protocols provided by the IAC. a - Quality of vascular studies are monitored continuously. b - Recognizes normal vs abnormal anatomy. 4- Acts as an educational resource to patients observing students and coworkers. a - Assists with orientation of new staff members or students as requested. 5 - Assures that all equipment is functioning properly. a - Performs checks on equipment daily b - Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction or patient safety concerns. 6 - Participates in the holiday rotation. 7 - Participates in performing quality improvement audits and meetings. 8 -Responsible for maintaining credentials and CME requirements for registration. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education - Preferred a - Associates degree or certification through an ultrasound accredited program b - Bachelors degree in ultrasound or healthcare related field preferred. Minimum Work Experience a - One to two (1–2) years of experience preferred. Required Licenses / Registrations a - RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist OR b - RVS – Registered Vascular Specialist Preferred Classes/Skills - BLS - Basic Life Support Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities a - Carotid b - Upper and lower extremity venous c - Upper and lower arterial duplex (including bypass grafts and stents) d - PVR e - AV Fistulas Full time Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.
