Aid supervisor with work coordination and assignments, training, and trouble-shooting work problems to minimize work interruptions, and delayed shipments. Responsible for department/ work area and can perform with little direction.
Essential Functions
- Oversight of assembly cells ensuring work assigned is completed timely and accurately to meet customer demand with help from supervisor.
- Work closely with support staff such as Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to rectify problems such as damaged goods, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
- Assemble in valves and general fittings.
- Work in special assembly including the tape machine, special clean and RAM 2.0.
- General knowledge on how to Induct and complete Cross Docks
- Picking Orders and doing Put Aways.
- Packing Orders.
- General knowledge of using UPS and FEDEX programs.
- Using each counting scale correctly and accurately.
- Updates EOB charts and PickPro to Profit Key recon.
- Maintain standard work and update as needed.
- Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communications.
- Perform 5S duties, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Assist in training associates on the processes and procedures of the department.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements.
- Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Basic leadership skills in dealing with people effectively.
- Ability to guide others toward tasks and goal achievement.

- Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work
- Warehouse/manufacturing work environment.
- Frequent lifting of 5 to 50 pounds.
- Occasional lifting, bending, stooping twisting.
- Reaching and bending to retrieve materials.
- Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.
- Frequent movements between work areas
- Use of pallet jack and tow motor.
- Many hours standing/walking involved (10 )
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to Three years of assembly preferred.
- One year of PIPS is preferred.
- One to two years computer experience including Data Entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred.
