Accounting is one of the six areas of the Costello College of Business. The Accounting Area has diverse research and teaching interests, offering a vibrant and collegial research and teaching community. Research is highly valued, and the faculty has published in many premier accounting journals.
About the Position :
The Assistant Professor, Accounting teaches courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, conducts high-quality research, and contributes positively to the academic environment. This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Summer funding is available contingent on the availability of funds.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct high-quality research for publication in top-tier academic journals;
- Teach accounting courses in undergraduate and / or graduate programs. The teaching load is determined according to the college’s workload policy;
- Provide service to the Accounting Area, the Costello College of Business, the University, and the profession, such as journal reviewing / editing, academic community engagement, student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community.
