Job Description
The St. Albans Tennis Center is seeking a Maintenance Attendant. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Summer Programs and Club Administration , the Maintenance Attendant will:
- Assist with pre-season club preparations, which can include court work and equipment assembly
- Unlock gates and other throughways to the club that should be accessible.
- Sweep all the courts and clear the lines. If there is safety netting between courts, make sure it is secured.
- Dispose of all trash on the Tennis Club property and empty trash receptables daily.
- Address any issues with the courts directly as much as possible (i.e., algae, weeds, debris build up along fencing/walls, patchwork).
- Make note of any damage to exterior or interior areas (i.e., fencing, walls, sidewalks) and report it to the office. Address issues whenever possible and elevate to the supervisor any issue that requires further maintenance by the facilities team.
- Clean and inspect the golf cart weekly.
- Ensure all tools are accounted for, are in good working condition, and properly stored when not in use.
- Periodically assist the Office Attendant when needed and assist patrons as required
- Exercise good judgment in the performance of the job responsibilities and work without direct supervision.
The position may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

- Preference for 1-2 years minimum of general maintenance work experience

Working Conditions
Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule (approximately 10-25 hours of work each week) that is ordinarily 5 days of a rotating schedule between Saturday and Sunday between the general hours of 5:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
Work Environment: The job is primarily an outdoor position involving a considerable amount of walking as well as driving a golf cart to assist in the performance of certain tasks. The position also requires the ability to bend down, stretch, reach and the candidate should be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
