ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Minister of Children's Ministries plays a vital role in fulfilling St. Andrew’s mission to love our community and shape its culture by equipping every generation to follow Jesus. This individual will be responsible to create a high-quality, relationally engaging, Christ-centered experience for children from birth to 6th grade, helping them develop their God-given identity, sense of belonging, and purpose. They will be intentional in maintaining a clear faith pathway that is integrated throughout our entire children and student ministries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essence of Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive holistic formation plan for children and parents, enriching their faith journey.
- Lead, equip, and support key leadership roles in the Children's Department.
- Partner with parents communicating and connecting with them regularly and effectively.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of volunteer development, providing opportunities and mentorship for volunteers to grow in ministry opportunities and leadership (Junior High and High School volunteers).
- Ensure compliance with all licensing procedures, facility requirements, and safety standards in partnership with program directors.
- Plan and oversee program budgets, working closely with program directors to meet annual goals. Oversee and manage Children’s staff in alignment with the church's policies and procedures. Facilitate and lead Children’s Ministry team meetings as needed to support staff well-being, program development, and ministry opportunities.
Other General Responsibilities
- In addition to normal responsibilities, is a member of a team dedicated to Christian service and should therefore seek at all times to conduct him/herself in a way that would be pleasing to the Lord.
- Engage actively within the church community, supporting and participating in "church-wide" gatherings and functions as a visible part of St. Andrew’s body of believers.
- Ability to use a computer with the knowledge of Microsoft Office and Keynote programs
- Must be available for occasional weekend or evening events.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Minister of Family Ministries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An active part of St. Andrew’s and affirms the mission, values and mission measures of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
- A commitment to growth and collaboration.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university: or four years or more of related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mid-level or higher considered.
Salary : $75,000 - $109,000
