The Maintenance Worker (General) is responsible for performing general repairs and preventive maintenance tasks according to established procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance experience.

Responsibility Highlights

  • Perform general maintenance duties to include: general plumbing, electrical, mechanic, welding, and carpentry assignments.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing outlets and switches, replacing fuses, and wiring connections.
  • Provide assistance and/or repairs medical gas outlets.
  • Repair fixed or suspended ceiling titles, cutting to fit, as needed.
  • Assemble and install office furniture and modules.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall including taping and filling drywall joints and corners.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing using appropriate tools and compounds.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs to include unclogging drains, replacing valves and faucets.
  • Respond to maintenance calls to all hospital departments including off-site clinics and medical buildings.
  • Repair hospital beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
