What are the responsibilities and job description for the FLOOR TECH position at St Bernards Medical Center?
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Must be literate, able to perform simple arithmetic, and follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision. Mechanical aptitude helpful.
Experience
Previous experience helpful. An experienced worker will need three to five days of instructions and at least 30 days on-the-job training under the direction of the Assistant Manager to perform satisfactorily. May be required to drive a St Bernard's vehicle at times. If so, must have a clean driving record with no moving violations or accidents

General hospital environment. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Exposure to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards. Operates floor machines - battery operated and electric, buffers, scrubbers, and wet vacuums and extractors. Continuous walking and standing. Lifting up to 75 lbs. Carrying up to 40lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 75lbs.
JOB SUMMARY
Principal duties involve all major floor care project work including mopping, buffing, stripping, and refinishing floors and vacuuming, shampooing and extracting carpets. Duties also include wall washing.
Full Time Night Shift M-F 10:30p-7a
