The Alumni Relations Team at St. Catherine University invites applications for a Director of Alumni Relations.
The Director of Alumni Relations actively promotes engagement between St. Catherine University and its 50,000 alumni for the positive benefit of both, building strategies that ensure engagement opportunities for each of the colleges within the university and that result in enhanced participation and support. This position collaborates closely with the Annual Giving and Major / Planned Gifts teams to align efforts and realize the best possible outcomes for engagement, participation and support. Responsibilities are to:
- Create short and long terms strategies to engage alumni from all three Colleges, across all ages, cultures and experiences, with a particular focus on engaging new audiences including recent graduates.
- Serve as a public face for the University, communicating information and inspiring alumni to action.
- Oversee events strategy and execution.
- Oversee volunteer strategies and structures.
- Oversee and intersect with the leadership of volunteer groups.
- Develop strategies for and engage with alumni who are in corporate settings.
- Manage a small, dedicated team and budget.
- Develop and manage budget to align with strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to create and lead strategy, inspire and attract alumni to engage with the University
- Seven (7) years of alumni relations or related experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team to success
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Graduate of St. Catherine University
- Ability to act as a strategic leader who understand and embraces the mission of the University.
- Must be skilled in developing and executing strategies which broaden and deepen alumni engagement across all three Colleges and a diverse base of alumni.
- Proficiency in communication by listening carefully and working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external constituents.
- Ability to partner with all areas of Institutional Advancement and fundraising in particular.
- Ability to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families, and communities.
