- Creates a program that is a participant-focused culture. The ideal applicant would model relationship-building skills in all visitation/exchange interactions and will foster a climate of innovation and resolve problems to ensure participant satisfaction.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. Be responsible for day-to-day program management and operations.
- Facilitate supervised visits, exchanges, and intakes onsite, offsite, and virtual as needed.
- Supervises and observes family interactions including intervening when necessary.
- Encourage written and oral feedback from staff, participants, and members to ensure constant improvement.
- Develop systems and programs, which encourage member and staff feedback for improving ways to serve members.
- Ensures proper implementation of supervised visitation/exchanges procedures and rules. Reviews and updates Social Services procedures and communicates changes to staff.
- Perform all functions in Daxko and Secure Cases, as needed for the supervised visitation/exchange program. Maintains completed documentation and updates case files.
- Provides annual written strategic plan to meet program goals and expansion of services at the Y and within the community.
- Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
- Set up, register, and lead Parent Enrichment classes to the community.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and represents the association through community participation through network meetings.
- Develops and monitors program budget to meet financial objectives.
- Create a work schedule and inform all staff of their work schedules in a timely manner.
- Must have flexible working schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related Human Service degree preferred.
- One year of experience working with children and families.
- LSW qualified; LSW certificate or working towards is preferred.
- Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in an outgoing, friendly, assertive, professional, and mature manner.
- Organization skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with program participants, members, directors, and staff.
