Special Education Aide / Bus Support

• Assist students with special needs on/off the bus; find and secure seat belts or other securement devices
• Assist in the loading/unloading of wheel chair bound students and proper securement in the school bus
• Be aware of any special needs/conditions of students on the bus
• Know emergency procedures that may include evacuation and/or health related issues
• Assist bus driver in other duties as needed

Required

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Diploma
• Highly Qualified status - defined by one of the following standards:
• 60 semester college credits with a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher
• ParaPro exam (passing score of 460 or higher, with district support)
