The Licensed Adult Basic Education (ABE) Supervisor oversees the daily operations and educational programming ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role includes providing staff training, coaching, and professional development, while managing curriculum development, course offerings, and instructional schedules.
Required
- Director of Community Education or K-12 Administrative licensed
- Knowledge of the following: state and federal law and policy pertinent to adult basic education; current research, trends, and best practices, integration of technology into programming, adult basic education data/MDE databases, grant writing, grant management, use of analytics and demonstrated experience of successful collaborations and partnerships
- Experiences serving non-traditional populations with the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people of diverse educational, cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds to promote educational success; excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
- 2-4 years of professional level experience in adult basic education programming
- 2-4 years’ experience training, supervising, and evaluating staff
- Experience in use of software applications for program scheduling, program promotion and data retention (e.g. Student Information System or S.I.D.)
