Compensation based on Contractual Agreement with the St. George Council of AFT Local 604.
Position Purpose:
The Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics under the direction of the Title I teacher for Grades 3-5. The Interventionist will provide instruction in-small groups to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
- Provides instruction to individual students and small groups
- Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level
- Uses identified research-based interventions focus specifically on individual student needs
- Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
- Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
- Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups
