Responsibilities
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining and controlling all supply/equipment acquisitions and inventory for the Operating Room. Designs, standardizes, and maintains all supply inventory systems, including the Pyxis supply systems, within the Operating Room. Coordinates all product acquisition in conjunction with the Materials Management Department. Maintains developed par levels through ordering and restocking, of all necessary supplies in all emergency department treatment area including Pyxis machines. Assures par level of equipment in all emergency department treatment areas, and functioning of said equipment in all emergency department treatment areas, and functioning of said equipment, reports any malfunction or need for repair to the appropriate department.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1 years of hospital inventory experience; operational knowledge of Pyxis required. Good computer, organizational and communication skills required.
