Materials Managment Tech II - Materials Management
St. John's Hospital Camarillo

We are seeking a skilled Materials Management Technician II to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storage, distribution, and tracking of materials within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, inspecting, and storing materials.
- Coordinate with various departments to fulfill material requests and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and transactions using designated software or systems.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure quality standards are met and negotiate favorable terms.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Train and supervise junior staff members as needed.
Qualifications
- Meets minimum competencies of Materials Management Tech I
- Three to six months of inventory management experience.
- An understanding of large ERP systems.
- Valid CA state driver license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred
- Six to twelve months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse. preferred.
- Forklift operation certification and/or experience, preferred.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
