Materials Managment Tech II - Materials Management

St. John's Hospital Camarillo 

 

***On-Call / Per Diem***

 

We are seeking a skilled Materials Management Technician II to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storage, distribution, and tracking of materials within our organization.


Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, inspecting, and storing materials.
  • Coordinate with various departments to fulfill material requests and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and transactions using designated software or systems.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure quality standards are met and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and supervise junior staff members as needed.

Qualifications
  • Meets minimum competencies of Materials Management Tech I
  • Three to six months of inventory management experience.
  • An understanding of large ERP systems.
  • Valid CA state driver license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred

  • Six to twelve months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse. preferred.
  • Forklift operation certification and/or experience, preferred.

 

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

 

Salary : $23 - $29
