  • The Regional Practice Administrator (RPA) oversees multiple medical oncology physician practices in South Carolina and reports to the Director of Medical Oncology Practices. The RPA supervises the office managers as well as specific direct reports at smaller regional office locations. The RPA assures the practice operations across all site function in standardized procedures designed to provide integrated oncology patient care as well as assure compliance, regulatory, and accreditation standards are met at every location. The RPA manages compliance with SJC policies and practices across multiple oncology practices to ensure consistency in operations, integration of administrative and clinical services for excellence in the continuity of patient care and patient services within the practice. The RPA works closely with the revenue cycle division at SJC to align revenue cycle operations with standard practices and assure operations impacting the specialty's reimbursement are addressed timely and effectively. The RPA works in conjunction with the data analysts and the Director to produce timely and accurate financial reports as well as wRVU invoices and supporting documentation for any related professional services agreements. Annually, the RPA works closely with the Director to produce the budgets for each of the cost centers. The RPA collaborates across multiple divisions and with the physicians to assist in quality initiatives which include but are not limited to the annual selection of quality metrics, baseline measures, and the pursuit of accreditation standards and certifications such as the Quality Oncology Physician Initiatives.

    • Core Job Functions
    • Responsible for human resource functions for all assigned staff to include ongoing evaluations, assuring HR requirements are met be staff, staff adheres to SJ / C corporate policies and departmental, plus the hiring and dismissal activities relating to staffing appropriately.

    • Annually works with Director to prepare budget by projecting new patient volumes as well as projecting costs; meets routinely with office managers and director to determine financial goals, objectives, and strategies for each practice are on target; develops action plans in conjunction with office managers and director; works closely with data analysts and director to assure monthly volumes, practice dashboards, and wRVU reporting is timely and accurate.
    • Routinely meets with Director and office managers to assure daily operations throughout the oncology clinical office sites operate efficiently and effectively from patient intake activities through clinical assessment and management through billing and point of care collections.
    • Work closely with the director and the clinical team inclusive of physicians to determine quality metrics annually and to pursue & / or maintain Quality Oncology Physician Initiative accreditation or related quality certifications that advance and elevate the practice status and recognition for excellence in care.
    • Serves to facilitate and establish interdepartmental relationships that serve two primary purposes : 1) Seamless in patient care to effect high patient satisfaction and 2) Attention to the cost and revenue impact within and between services by addressing best practices.
