What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Clinician position at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital?
This position treats new, existing, or prior mental, behavioral, and emotional health disorders to support individuals in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Assesses the needs of the individual served and intervenes as appropriate to the situation, coordinates outreach services, service planning, and follow-up support, and performs all duties in compliance with organizational, regulatory, and procedural guidelines. Position requires knowledge of local, county, and state resources to connect patients and families with needed services.
Master's degree in related field required. Minimum of two years of experience in the management of patients with mental health, behavioral health, and emotional disorders who may or may not be in crisis, with either new or existing diagnosis, and those seeking connection to services. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) is preferred.
