The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

Essential Tasks
- Ensure daily transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Prepare journal entries
- Complete reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Account analysis and reporting
- Perform month end and year end close tasks
- Assists in monthly reconciliation of designated funds and projects
- Prepare and file sales and property tax returns
- Assist with annual audit schedules
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Support management in completing special projects as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accounting or Business related major, or related experience
- 5 years in accounting field, Non-profit experience preferred
- Ability to read computer screens
- Proficiency in Accounting systems, Excel, and Word
- Advanced mathematical, Excel and system reporting skills highly desired
- Must be able to handle sensitive matters in a diplomatic and collaborative manner
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills are necessary
