The job description for a toddler teacher assistant includes the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the main teacher with activities and instruction
- Plan activities for kids
- Serve breakfast, lunch, and snack. Assist children where needed
- Keep the classroom organized and tidy
- Maintain records of student progress and needs
- Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
- Support children with special or individual needs
- Supervise all children and maintain their safety at all times
- Help with toilet training
Qualifications:
TX Driver’s License
CPR/First Aid (preferred)
Required High-School Diploma
Preferred some college.
1 year experience required.

St. Paul Early Care Center is hiring a dynamic Toddler Teacher Assistant to work with children from ages 1-2 years old in our Mesquite, TX school district.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working with children in a classroom setting, a strong knowledge of frogstreet curriculum, and a passion for working with children.
This is an entry level position and does not require college degree.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in planning and implementing a curriculum that meets the educational needs of the children in the classroom
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
- Assisting with child care activities including but not limited to: reading, art, science, etc.
- Implementing lesson plans/curriculum
- Establishing professional relationships with parents (obtain child’s name, date of birth etc.)
