What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Aide position at St. Paul's Little Blessings Preschool and Day Care?
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing environment for their growth and development. We have two positions available--one for 40 hours a week and one for 30 hours a week.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
- Provide basic caregiving tasks such as feeding, changing diapers, and comforting children
Skills
- Some experience in childcare or related field
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with first aid procedures for children
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Previous experience babysitting or working with students is a plus
