Over the last 68 years, SVdP has grown from a volunteer-led non-profit to the largest human services agency in Lane County with more than 600 employees. Our mission is to assist the poor and those in need of consolation, seeking out and utilizing every resource. St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County is looking for ambitious and hardworking individuals to add to our team!! We have full-time work available as a Warehouse Sorter! Candidate must have great attention to detail and have the physical ability to work hard and efficiently in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Sort containers full of miscellaneous goods such as lamps, small furniture, bikes, exercise equipment, small appliances, and other donated items

· Ability to sort and pay attention to detail

· Sort and move material in a fast and productive manner into various grades, sizes, and styles

· Ability to bend, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 35-50 lbs.

· Ability to stand, and repetitively move the upper body and arms for 8 hours

· Use pallet jacks and tagging guns

· Maintain a clean workstation

· This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Self-motivated, organized, and able to work as part of a team

· Ability to work in a fast-paced production/warehouse environment

· Strong verbal communication skills

· Ability to stand for 8 hours

· Able to push and pull up to 35 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. sometimes

· Pallet jack experience or the ability to learn how to use one

Job Type: Hourly. Full time.

Wage: Starts at $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
