Material Handler – Solon $12-15 (BOE)
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Supports all production operations with tow motor specific material handling
- Stays informed on the daily production schedule through communication with the department leads and
- with Production Supervisor
- Must be proficient in SAFE tow motor driving practices
- Able to quickly adapt to new job responsibilities
- Able to anticipate schedule changes in order to keep production moving at all times
- Focus on supporting material requirements for production operations only
- Will not be responsible for inbound / outbound trucks, unless directed by Production Supervisor
- Monitor raw material stock levels, working with Production to keep purchasing informed with reorder points
- Rotate raw material stock
- Keep all the material in the production areas of responsibility organized and looking professional
Secondary Responsibilities include:
Fill any time in between calls with manual material handling tasks:
- Keep all aisles clear by moving obstacles out of the way, reporting any obstacles to the area leads
- Emptying trash
- Banding skids
- Making boxes
- Staging metal coils
- Monitor material quality and organization throughout the shop and report any issues to Production Supervisor
Skills and Requirements
- Reasonable experience in the Manufacturing area
- Tow motor driving experience
- Use of band saws, profilers, rollers and other equipment
- Able to communicate clearly and follow directions
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50-100 pounds. (Over 50 lbs. with an assist).
- Frequent standing, walking and lifting.
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to read and write and be able to follow directions
- Must be able to read a tape measure since measurement of this product is critical.
- Proficient at basic math.
- Able to communicate clearly with customers/co-workers

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position and the hours of work and days are as follows:
- First Shift - Monday through Friday, 6:45am – 3:15am pm with ½ hour for lunch.
- Second Shift – Monday through Friday, 2:45pm – 11:15am with ½ hour for lunch.
- Third Shift – Sunday through Thursday, 10:45pm – 7:15am with ½ hour for lunch.
- Occasional overtime may be needed.

- Fork lift Certification a plus

Salary : $12 - $15
