Responsibilities
- Establishing effective rapport with patients, taking a pertinent case history assessing the patient's goals and concerns, performing a comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluation, and recommending the best hearing solution to meet the patient's needs.
- Hearing aid evaluations include quantitative and qualitative outcome measurements.
- Clinical evaluations include basic CAE, tympanogram, reflexes, reflex decay, QSIN, Verifit, soundfield testing, and tinnitus assessment as needed.
- Fitting daily wear amplification and extended-wear LYRIC, masking devices, and devices for misophonia.
- Fitting accessories, Phonak Roger Widex Sound Assist, Oticon Edumic, TV adapters, etc.
- Ear impressions for earmolds. Swimmers custom plugs, musician plugs, noise protection.
- Services are primarily for the adult population.
Requirements
- Doctorate or master’s degree in Audiology and the appropriate licensure to practice and dispense in New Jersey
- Experience with Lyric extended wear devices and with ancillary services is a plus (custom fit solutions)
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently
- One (1) year of post-licensure experience in hearing aid dispensing and clinical audiology.
