Hunter Hamilton is partnering with a leading organization to identify a seasoned Accounting Manager for a high-impact contract role supporting general accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit activities. This is a temporary opportunity (3 months) offering meaningful responsibility, strong visibility, and the chance to make an immediate impact in a complex accounting environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced settings, enjoys leading teams, and brings a strong foundation in corporate accounting, controls, and financial reporting.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses

  • Support quarterly and year-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and financial controls audits

  • Assess existing accounting practices and procedures, recommending and implementing process improvements

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by leadership

  • Supervise and manage general ledger accounting activities

  • Lead and develop accounting staff through performance management, goal setting, coaching, and ongoing training

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred

  • 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong corporate accounting background

  • Expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls

  • Prior people management or team leadership experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Big 4 and CPA experience highly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
