What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Shipper/Packer position at Staffworks?
Shipper
Hours:
Monday – Friday
9:00am – 5:30pm
Pay:
$16.50 per hour
Benefits:
- Temp to Hire Assignment
- Weekly Pay
- Benefits Once Hired On
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares all shipping documentation for customer shipments
- Checks open delivery workload list for sequence of orders to be filled
- Process small packages through the shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, Airborne, etc.)
- Operate forklift to move products in warehouse
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Steel toe boots/shoes
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
- Ability to follow and execute detailed process/directions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace
- Eye-hand coordination and bi-manual dexterity sufficient to work with small parts
- Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Previous shipping and forklift experience preferred
- Forklift and OSHA certification preferred but not required
