This new platform will serve as a comprehensive ecosystem, including our client portal, client and vendor databases, project- and workflow-management modules, reporting, billing.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (and API Integration Specialist) to act as the key technical liaison between our internal team and the external development provider. In this role, you will focus on:

  • Support in steering the development process of the new platform from a technical perspective (the core of the development is being done by an external development house that you will be working with)
  • Integrating and linking the new platform with the other existing, various SaaS tools we use in production
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines and orchestrating workflows.
  •

We need someone who can seamlessly communicate with both technical and business stakeholders, and who excels in building and maintaining strong internal relationships. You should be someone who loves collaborating with people, thrives in a partnership-focused environment, and can translate technical complexities into terms that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand.

    Responsibilities

    • Technical Liaison: Act as the main technical contact between Locaria and the third-party BMS developer, providing design insights, guidance, monitoring, and answering technical questions.
    • API Development & Integrations: Develop and implement API integrations between the new BMS and our internal SaaS systems.
    • System Design & Architecture: Design scalable, reliable, and secure systems and infrastructure to support integrations, ensuring optimal performance across platforms.
    • Data Pipelines & Workflow Automation: Build and maintain data pipelines and automate workflows.

    • API Design Principles:  Solid grasp of API design principles, including versioning, security, and performance considerations for building maintainable and future-proof systems.
    • Collaboration & Communication:  Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for business teams.
    • Documentation:  Create clear, thorough, and comprehensive documentation of all processes, workflows, and technical implementations, ensuring that everything is well-documented and easy to follow.

    Required Skills

    • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring successful partnerships.
    • System Design: Good understanding of designing and building scalable, reliable, and secure systems
    • Backend Development: Working experience in backend service development with at least one of the following: Java, C# or Node.js
