Day Shift - Monday -Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Night Shift - Monday - Thursday 6pm-4:30am
Weekends - Friday/Saturday/Sunday 6am-6:30pm
$25-$30 per hour based on skills

General Summary:
- Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble parts or tanks, with assistance from Bay Supervisor or Master Craftsman. This position is classified as a safety sensitive position, see Limitations and Disclaimer for additional information.
- Studies engineering drawings and blueprints, locates and marks bending and cutting lines, and lays out and examines metal stock to ensure specifications are met.
- Aligns and fits parts, moves parts into position, and secures parts for welding.
- Verifies conformance of workpieces to specifications, and prepares completed work to be checked by supervisors.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines and welding equipment.
- MIG, TIG, Flux, Core, stick, and tack-welds parts and tank seams.
- Completes manufacturing documentation in a timely manner.
- Follows all safety guidelines as noted in Safety Manual.
- Assists all supervisors and performs other duties as needed and directed.
- Must be able to pass all basic Welder tests as well as pass GTAW, GMAW, FCAW processes.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of welding/grinding procedures.
- Must be able to layout, fit up and weld heads, shells, legs and parts on a tank.
- Must be able to burn and prep the holes for fitting.
- Ability to read cut sheets, blueprints, and tape measures
- Ability to keep hand and arm steady when moving or holding arm and hand in one position.
- Ability to meet budgeted hours.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
