As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will plan, schedule, coordinate and assign all work requirements associated with corrective maintenance and maintenance project work orders to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all shop equipment, buildings, and ground functions.

As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will plan, schedule, coordinate and assign all work requirements associated with corrective maintenance and maintenance project work orders to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all shop equipment, buildings, and ground functions.
What You’ll Do
- Plans, schedules and coordinates both internal and external resources in maintenance of company machinery, buildings, and grounds within an approved budget and timeline.
- Ensures that plant facilities remain operational and safe; coordinates the regular maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Carry out inspections to identify and resolve issues.
- Actively participates as a member of the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
- Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
- Responsible for janitorial functions, lawn and landscaping maintenance, snow and trash removal, pest control, painting, and other minor repairs and services.
- Procures and maintains certificates on boilers and compressors.
- Leads, assigns, and directs all waste water work. Reviews work in process and checks completed work to ensure quality and timely completion of job assignments.
- Develops and implements schedules and procedures for safety inspections, ongoing maintenance, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensures maintenance crews and activities adhere to stricter local aerospace regulations for FOD prevention, tool control, hard particle contamination and restricted access as required when working in active production areas of the plant.
- Regularly report on maintenance issues and progress to senior management
- Maintain inventory of all tools and supplies.
- Advises on the hiring of external contractors to perform maintenance and repair services.
- Develop relationships with external contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Submit purchase requests for all maintenance equipment and supplies.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining buildings and facilities.
- Thorough knowledge of equipment, tools and materials used in building maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Thorough knowledge of national and local fire, building, plumbing and electrical codes.
- Good planning, organizational, leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
- Working knowledge of PC's in a Microsoft environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of CMMS software.
- Qualified tradesperson in a related discipline (electrical, mechanical) and several years of building maintenance experience; or equivalent.
