As a Test Cell Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating/testing gas turbine engines with specialized mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
What you’ll do:
- Inspect and test engines
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Observe all applicable safety practices and aviation regulations
- Troubleshoot, adjusts or replace components on engines
Position Requirements
- Must have previous test cell experience running military or commercial engines
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper operating conditions
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Inspection of unique parts.
- In-depth knowledge of process, manual and aviation regulations.
- Apprenticeship and or/formal training in area(s) of specialty or commensurate experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years aviation maintenance experience.
- MUST meet ITAR requirements
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
Preferred Characteristics
- FAA Power plant certification considered an asset.
