Who YOU are:

  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership role over digital and retail operations.
  • Strong Financial Services Operations, Compliance and Regulatory experience.
  • High energy with the ability to approach individuals and engage in conversations.
  • Interpersonal skills to represent the credit union in a positive way, both internally and externally always.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communications.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours to accomplish workload. Job will require a non-traditional workweek with extra hours including some evening and/or weekend duties as required to oversee branch operations.
  • FISERV DNA experience preferred or experience working with multiple core systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public.

What YOU’LL do:
OPERATIONS

  • Responsible for the overall operational performance of six branches
  • Maintain a low risk tolerance on all branch audits.
  • Recommend, develop, and lead the implementation of current and new operational policies/procedures/programs/systems that support the credit union’s goals of consistent delivery, operational efficiency, excellence, and effectiveness, while building accountability.
  • Establish, enhance, maintain, and monitor internal controls, as well as policies and procedures for the retail branches. Ensure consistency between all branches

SERVICE

  • Responsible for the overall service performance of branches
  • Instills the importance of high-quality member experience and infuse frontline staff and the broader organization with a member service mindset.
  • Reviews and analyzes member survey information and provide feedback, guidance, and training to ensure that service standards and service level agreements are met on a consistent basis.
  • Establishes a data-based branch staffing model and ensures that each branch is adequately staffed according to the established model.
  • Analyzes sales and service survey statistics and provide reports on results. Organizes information and data to identify branch trends, determine underlying issues, and understand cause-effect relationships. Makes recommendations and proactively acts based on results of analysis.

SALES

  • Responsible for the overall sales performance of assigned branches.
  • Establish meaningful sales goals and track progress associated with the goals. Develop monitoring systems related to the goals that ensure relevant and timely data to provide results to the Retail Banking Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Collaborate with other Directors and Vice Presidents to develop retail delivery sales strategies for the credit union, which align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development department to support promotions, student sign up events and other business development initiatives.

LEADERSHIP & Management

  • Accountable for branch sales, service, and operational performance. Monitors sales production, service, and operational goals.
  • Maintain a positive work environment for assigned staff, ensuring engagement to the overall vision and values of the organization. Mentor and develop staff to minimize turnover and ensure awareness of advancement opportunities according to their strengths and talents.
  • Lead team(s) and develop an atmosphere of collaboration, open communication, and unity. Provide oversight of all services offered. Actively mentor staff and ensure they are trained, evaluated, and motivated to perform their responsibilities in an effective and progressive manner.
  • Identify, coordinate, and implement retail training initiatives as deemed necessary and/or directed by the VP, organizational initiatives, and/or other applicable Leaders throughout the organization, with an emphasis on operational soundness, product knowledge and member service. Collaborate with the Learning and Development Department to develop and implement these educational opportunities.
  • Articulates a vision for the future of the retail branch service delivery aligned to our brand purpose and strategic plan, gain consensus on the vision, and develop action plans to realize the vision.
  • Supervises and coaches Branch Management ensuring excellent member service, sales results, and efficient operations. Give timely, specific, and appropriate feedback about performance and development needs. Encourage others to experiment with new ways to solve work problems.
