What You Will Do
- Expertise of Liaison III skills and knowledge PLUS:
- Functions as a preceptor to new staff
- Complex appointment, procedure and surgery scheduling requiring strong knowledge of procedures and department protocols
- Interprofessional collaboration with physicians, APPs, RNs, and other department staff in their designated program
- Complex care coordination: procedure/surgical add-ons, admissions, multi-disciplinary procedure/surgical clearances, inpatient transfers, blood bank
- Coordinates and facilitates authorization process - informs patient’s authorization and collects payment for new and returning patients, using the scheduling system
- Ability to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards
- Coordinates care by scheduling, editing and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associates degree in health-related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Three or more years of overall experience
- None .
