General Manager Benefits

General Manager Essential Duties Personnel Management
- Actively participate in recruiting and hiring process for all positions; ensure performance reviews or coaching session are completed as scheduled; development of short and long term goals for each department manager (including sales, service, and parts). Actively follow-up on performance development plans. Follow process for documentation
- Create a positive atmosphere though positive attitude and moral.
- Participate in development and execution of compensation plans; all changes to plans and/or promotions must be approved by Platform Manager and HR Department
- Explaining the policies and procedures to dealership employees and following up to ensure these policies are understood and followed; proper documentation of policy violations as needed
- Submitting annual and monthly forecast.
- Participate in completion the monthly finical statement to ensure it is complete and accurate subject to corporate accounting guidelines.
- Effectively managing the business to ensure forecasts and budgets are met.
- Reviewing daily operations; recommending and creating improved process where needed subject to established corporate policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicating with the comptroller/office manager on a daily basis to review CIT, WIP, and forecast progress.
- Coordinating with the F&I personnel to Stanley F&I Product Sales Policy is strictly followed as well as all local, state, and federal guidelines
- Create a good working relationship with lenders, manufacturers, and vendors.
- Coordinating weekly meetings with departmental managers to review progress in profitability and efficacy.
- Create cost effective advertising programs and follow up on ROI.
- Work with department managers and platform manger to address customer complaints in a timely manner.
- General manger should have at least 5 years of automotive management experience. Must have strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to read and understand manufacture statements, F&I statements, and finical statements.
- Must be able to communicate with employees and customer in a positive and uplifting manner.
