The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the overall functions of marketing, advertising, communication, and branding for their assigned divisions. Works with the Director of Marketing to lead the creation and execution of marketing strategies, deploy marketing campaigns with sales teams, and build brand awareness to drive traffic, leads, and sales.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Stanley Martin expanded into Northern Virginia in 1971, Charlottesville, VA in 2013 and both Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC in 2014. In 2017, Stanley Martin joined the Daiwa House Group, which provided the opportunity to expand into Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC in 2018 and again in 2020 into Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC among other metro areas on the east coast. The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the overall functions of marketing, advertising, communication, and branding for their assigned divisions. Works with the Director of Marketing to lead the creation and execution of marketing strategies, deploy marketing campaigns with sales teams, and build brand awareness to drive traffic, leads, and sales.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Executes marketing tactics to drive qualified prospects to assigned division(s)
- Collaborate and execute on the division media plan; work with Media Specialist, and Director of Marketing (as applicable) to hit deadlines and established KPIs
- Process and coordinate the execution of Division requests for marketing projects for assigned neighborhoods or Region(s)
- Help manage, maintain and execute each marketing project, demonstrating leadership and ownership throughout the entire lifecycle of the project
- Draft and oversee drafting of creative briefs for marketing efforts to give design team direction
- Collaborate with internal and external marketing resources (designers, printers, vendors) for delivery of projects on a timely basis
- Serve as a liaison and collaborative partner between all internal departments to ensure campaigns and strategies are followed consistently
- Manage the creation process for all marketing materials
- Copywriting and/or proofreading of all marketing materials
- Maintain a divisional marketing budget by allocating marketing dollars, approving vendor invoices, and tracking expenses for assigned Region(s)
- Manage direct report(s) to ensure assigned work is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Consult with Divisional sales leaders, Director of Marketing and Senior Vice President of Marketing on new marketing strategies, creation of integrated marketing plans and programming including campaigns, media plans, advertising and collateral
- Host weekly marketing meetings and sales calls with marketing and divisional sales leaders
- Leads the 100-day neighborhood opening meeting and project manages the neighborhood opening
- Follow proper brand and legal guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete new marketing projects as assigned with a positive, can-do attitude
- Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications
- Complete all other duties as assigned by manager

- BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or business or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years of marketing experience
- Strong leadership skills; team player with an independent working style
- Outstanding creative judgment and familiarity developing advertising creative in all forms of media
- An ability to think both creatively and strategically
- Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills (bilingual in Spanish / English is preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while staying focused on the big picture
- Management experience a plus
- Real estate experience a plus
- This position is in office Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday
