MHSII - BBS AMFT registration or BBS ASW registration or APCC registration required. MHSIII - MFCC or LCSW or LPCC license in California required. Two years experience in a mental health field with age group(s) to be served by the position in residential or outpatient settings. Comfortable with field based work How you will make a difference (job overview): This position has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. The Mental Health Specialist provides mental health services (including assessment and evaluation as assigned) and other services to clients referred to the Community Services Program. Services include but are not limited to individual, family, and collateral therapy, treatment planning, etc. He/she acts as a liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff. S/he documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information. May be requested to obtain additional certifications as needed. Division/Program Overview: Community Based programs. Provides programs for children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth (TAY) with Mental Health Services. An experienced staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health therapist / Clinicians, parent partners, and other counselors Provide case management, mental health care, and a range of support services in schools, homes, or other community settings. Partner with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers, and other agencies.
