What you bring to SBHG (qualifications): High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other medical setting is preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic diets is also a plus. Alternatively, six months of housekeeping experience in a similar work environment (e.g., hospital, hotel, motel) will be considered. A valid California Driver's License is required. How you will make a difference (job overview): This position has primary responsibility for coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living(ADLs); preparing meals, snacks, shopping for food, and other various life skills. Assist with and supervise meal preparation in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Ensure that all safety regulations are followed and the facilities are maintained in a safe and clean manner. Assist with client laundry, household cleaning and other tasks as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary and attractive condition. Division/Program Overview: This 24/7 voluntary residential program provides a higher level of care but not a psychiatric level for up to 15 Transitional Age Youth (TAY) who are at risk. The facility offers comprehensive mental health services, including individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management. The program is built on the principles of recovery and peer support, with a strong focus on connecting youth to educational and vocational services, identifying community resources, and initiating the process of locating stable housing.
