What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Designer - MEP position at Stargate Recruiting, LLC?
A plumbing designer shall have the ability to produce comprehensive facility plumbing designs under the guidance of a project engineer and, at a minimum, have the following capabilities:
- Understand basic plumbing theory/calculations, plumbing system components and devices.
- Have the ability to comprehend and implement inputs and direction from the project engineer.
- Apply Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software to support project designs.
- Knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices with the ability to apply them within the plumbing design.
- Be able to develop and draft domestic water and sanitary plans, riser diagrams and schedules.
- Understand the components of the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems that will impact the design and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the plumbing design.
- Take personal ownership of the work produced.
Requirements
- Vocation school, military training, college degree, field experience, proven relevant technical experience.
- Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software.
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.
