The role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot inefficiencies.
Responsibilities
Productivity and Efficiency Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize productivity, yield, and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) in manufacturing processes.
- Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) and development activities to enhance product and process efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Kaizen projects to improve overall operations.
- Utilize MES “Manufacturing Execution System”, AQMS “Advanced & Analytic Quality Management System”, and Spotfire to analyze production and quality trends, recommending and implementing improvements for enhanced product sustainability.
- Generate monthly, weekly, and daily reports to assist in defect and abnormality analysis.
- Utilize 5Why’s, 4W1H, 8D, and fishbone diagrams as root cause analysis tools
- Generate mitigation plans and risk assessments while utilizing data driven counter-measures
- Support the Quality Department with abnormalities and defect analysis reports within the production parts and processes.
- Work with the Quality Department to identify risk ranges and interlock quantities
- Analyze safety and quality issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop and implement Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) protocols to ensure equipment and processes meet specified requirements.
- Create, maintain, and update various Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure operators have a comprehensive understanding of process changes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and smooth production flow between processes.
- Lead Cross-Functional Team (CFT) activities with Production and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot inefficiencies and optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication for efficient production processes.
- Prepare for and actively participate in meetings between cross-functional teams to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and potential improvements.
- Bachelor degree in a technical field (required)
- Possess experience in continuous improvement systems and a background in lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven expertise in data analytics (Minitab, JMP, Spotfire)
- High-volume manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving ownership and proficiency
- Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with individuals at all organizational levels
- Proficient in establishing impactful cross-functional relationships internally and externally
- Complete proficiency in the Microsoft Office tool suite
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to organize data and generate KPI reports
- Understanding of different structured problem solving methods (Fishbone, DMAIC, 8D, PDCA, etc)
- Lean Six Sigma Certified (Black belt/Green belt)
- Complex process management capability
- Ability to simplify and comprehend big data to drive actions and improvements
- Familiarity with visual KPI dashboard tools and automation
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Travel may be required at times (domestic/international)
- Working overtime, weekends, or holidays may be required at times
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for long periods throughout the day
- Ability to gown and wear appropriate PPE in dry room conditions on the manufacturing floor
Salary : $81,000 - $92,000
