The position will reside in our New York Branch office and entails development/expansion of a casualty portfolio with specific emphasis on risks in our focus industry segments. The position will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio management, including: solicitation of submissions, underwriting analysis, preparing and issuing indications/quotations/binders, tracking pipeline, weekly forecasting of production and developing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. Skills/Experience Required: Minimum of 3-7 years of experience Proven underwriting track record Strong retail broker relationships Knowledgeable of the hospitality, manufacturing, food & beverage, and retail industries Experience underwriting General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Automobile, and Excess Casualty Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently Knowledgeable with NCCI and ISO policy forms and endorsements Professional demeanor in language, writing, and presentation skills Experience with Microsoft Office For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs.
