Support Starr’s IT initiatives to ensure alignment with IT strategic objectives, business goals, and internal or external compliance needs. Apply technical knowledge and experience to modernize the IT governance practices and principles to increase assurance of continuous compliance integration, faster delivery of changes, and improved linkages between strategy and execution. Serve as a steward fostering change to operational technical governance frameworks. Conduct IT strategy and governance assessments to recommend solutions for improving oversight and decision–making to drive IT initiatives. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience in working with diverse, integrated teams and engaging senior management, product owner, and technical or functional subject matter experts Ability to be a resourceful, analytical problem–solver taking the initiative to research IT best practices and business objectives to deliver the appropriate oversight and governance Solid understanding of security controls, application controls & general computing controls. An understanding of security risk frameworks and/or IT Risk Registry. Familiarity with Cobit is a plus. Technical knowledge of information systems, networks, and multi-tiered applications. Ability to timely and clearly coordinate/communicate with Technology Units & Business Units and adjust communication to audience Ensure active Risk Items are actioned and closed in a timely manner Ability to follow audit life-cycle from initiation to conclusion, including remediation of findings. Demonstrate knowledge in policy/technical writing Attention to detail, skilled in verbal and written communication QUALIFICATIONS BA or BS Degree or equivalent work experience and/or relevant certifications 1 years of experience with IT PMO, IT governance, IT Security, or related functions 1 years of experience with IT strategy and design disciplines, including enterprise architecture, IT investment management, and/or IT project management 3 years of experience supporting IT Development, Engineering or Operations Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong working knowledge with SharePoint / Power BI is a plus Knowledge of Disaster Recovery process and procedures For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs.
