JOB GRADE 8: $18.51 - $23.14 Targeted Hourly Rate
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems as well as mail distribution. Your primary goal is to provide a safe and functional environment for our employees and Members. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and general carpentry work.
- Conduct regular inspections of the credit union's facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in maintenance techniques to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to facility maintenance and safety.
- Perform minor routine maintenance on furniture, fixtures and equipment, and grounds and buildings of the Credit Union as directed.
- Responsible for the accurate retention and/or timely destruction of Credit Union records.
- Travel between campus buildings to deliver & receive mail, packages, and inter-office envelopes. Pick-up and work all out-going mail and deliver to the post office nightly.
- Responsible for management and delivery of office supplies and other items to all campuses as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Education or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or G.E.D certificate.
- 2 plus years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar within a professional / corporate environment.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and security systems.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, members, and external vendors.
- Job Related Travel - As required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Job requires regular standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, grasping and fine hand coordination. Visual and aural acuity required. Finger and hand dexterity required.
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
