You’ll work independently and as part of a team, often in challenging weather or terrain. Shift work and emergency responses are part of the role, and safety is a priority. What You Will Be Doing
Equipment Operator Journey 2:
- Operate 8-yard dump trucks with plow, sander, and blade attachments for snow removal and aggregate hauling
- Use motor graders for ditching, surface repair, and snow operations
- Transport heavy equipment with semi-tractors, lowboys, belly dumps, and water tankers
- Operate dozers (D4–D7), loaders, and snow blowers for material handling and snow removal
- Perform loader work in pits, snow dumping, and material loading
- Handle general duties: flagging, maintenance, manual labor, and shop cleanup
- May act as lead, entering daily data into the State MMS system
- Operate steam boilers to thaw drainage structures
- Weld and cut materials for equipment maintenance and repair
