What you will be doing:
Are you ready to make a big difference in public health? Join the Section of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (CDPHP) team as a dynamic leader driving injury and substance use prevention! In this exciting role, you will:
  • Oversee the Injury Prevention Unit, which includes our Injury Prevention and Surveillance (IPS) and Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction Prevention (OSMAP) subunits.
  • Team up with the IPS and OSMAP unit managers to make data collection, analysis, and interpretation a breeze and turn insights into action.
  • Craft and launch innovative prevention strategies for statewide adoption that make waves in communities and across the State.
Collaborate with the CDPHP Section Chief and the Division of Public Health Director'sOffice to shape budget proposals and boost our prevention efforts by connecting with other Department of Health programs.

Competency Description

Special Note:
“Competencies” means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation.
