Project Assistant located in Seward!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 16.


What You Will Be Doing:
The Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) is recruiting for a Project Assistant! The duties for this position will focus on coordinating AVTEC’s Program Service Agreements (PSA’s) and Grant-driven Reimbursable Service Agreements (RSA’s). This position will participate in coordinating and managing the daily and long-term administrative and service operations related to AVTEC’s short course training events. This position will evaluate and monitor grant expenditures and revenues in accordance with AVTEC’s overall objectives.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Training from an accredited college or university in any field and/or experience such as performing research; interpreting data; applying, interpreting, and disseminating technical, statutory, and/or regulatory requirements; and/or experience in community development, research, social services, economics, public administration, planning, or a closely related field.

The State of Alaska (SOA) uses four levels of proficiency to measure and describe an applicant’s level of competence in applying certain behaviors, knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish a specific task.
