JOB SUMMARY:

This is an Investigator position in the General Tax Administration Program, Field Operations, Criminal Investigations Process, Tax Collection Enforcement Diversion Program in the Miami service center. The non-sworn incumbent conducts investigations of Department law violations and provides investigative assistance to our internal and external partners. The incumbent interviews potential subjects/witnesses, researches systems and records, and identifies, gathers, secures, organizes, analyzes, and presents evidence. Additionally, the incumbent prepares case reports, probable cause affidavits, subpoena requests, and search warrants, testifies at hearings/trials, participates in training, and handles required operational and administrative tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • One year of collections experience, at the Revenue Specialist II level or above, within the General Tax Administration Program.

PREFERENCES:

  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in researching, reviewing, and analyzing data.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience conducting fact finding interviews.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience testifying in a judicial proceeding.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position requires regular travel for field visits, training, meetings, conferences, and other job-related responsibilities. You will be required to provide your own means of transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed according to existing Department of Revenue policies at the time of travel

SALARY: $31,200.00 - $62,364.24
