- Must be an enlisted member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC and unit of assignment. Military requirement will be waived. Please indicate request for waiver.
- Must have and maintain a valid and unrestrictedstate issued driver’s license (from any state) and meet qualifications for a military driver’s license.Provide your driver’s license number, issuingstate, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license.(Do notprovide a copy of your driver’s license.)
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.(At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager is required prior to appointment into this position.)
- Must be able to physically lift materials weighing up to 75 pounds in weight.Position requires frequent loading and unloading of material bins into UTVs, trucks, and trailers.
- Must have the ability or willingness to obtain experience driving trucks up to two-ton capacity and towing trailers up to twenty feet.
- Must have experience working in an environment with duties such as warehouse, material handling, waste/recycling collection, or other related labor work experience.
- Preferred experience or education (not mandatory)
- Experience or education in the environmental field
- Providing technical instruction to other workers
- Skill in collection, processing, and sorting a variety of recycling materials. Ability to determine storage of supplies and equipment and storage locations considering their use, size, shape, and quantity.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts (hydraulic and electric) and other vehicles for the purposes of transporting and moving materials to remote facilities on a routine basis.
- Skill in the application of basic mathematics (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in order to participate in inventory, maintain records, recognize discrepancies, etc.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Skill and ability to maintain and reconcile an inventory system for a variety of commodities.
- Knowledge of general maintenance duties keeping work areas clean; and maintaining landscape to include mowing lawns, xeriscape, weed control, tree pruning, and other general soil maintenance.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to accept responsibility and maintain accountability for work performed.
