Main Purpose of Job
Manages the Case Management Services and the normal daily operations of the respective City offices/jurisdiction (Baltimore) to ensure the most cost-effective manner by which to service the community and its youth in accordance with the goals and objectives of DJS' Oversees, manages, trains, and provides direction to Case Management Specialist Supervisors and Case Management Specialists as to the practices and methods used in implementing and coordinating the delivery of services and treatment plans for juveniles on probation supervision or after-care supervision in an effort to reduce reoffending by youth and to promote productive citizenship and social acceptance. Evaluates current staff, resource needs and services, develops plans and presents the same to the Regional Director. As needed, provides accurate/timely information to the Regional Director for dissemination to Headquarters' staff for implementation, consistent with the goals of the Department. Presentations include data regarding program utilization or resource needs. Oversees the implementation of special projects and service implementation to their assigned Jurisdiction. Maintain an effective working relationship with the City's courts, juvenile service stakeholders, and other servicing City agencies. Provides input and expertise toward policy development and regional/City implementation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience: Five (5) years of experience in workforce and program development initiatives, youth programming, staff supervision and leadership role with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities. Note: Candidates may substitute possession of a bachelor's degree with at least ten (10) years of managerial experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• At least three (3) years of experience in conflict resolution, crisis response and management, and fostering positive employee/management relations • At least two (2) years of experience as a Facility Superintendent or Director of a residential program��
